When I first brought Taysan, a black Labrador, into my family, he was just 2 months old. It was my first time becoming a dog parent, and I was both excited and nervous. I wanted to give him the best care, so I asked every pet parent in my neighborhood what I should feed him and how to take care of him.

I tried almost every food recommendation I received, but sometimes Taysan would get sick. It was heartbreaking — I felt terrible knowing that something I gave him made him feel unwell. I just wanted him to be happy and healthy, but instead, he was suffering, and I didn’t know why.

Over time, through trial and error, research, and learning from experience, I finally understood what Taysan liked, what he didn’t, and what food suited him best based on his age, weight, and breed. It was a journey filled with challenges, but it helped me grow into a more confident and caring dog parent.

That experience inspired me to start TheDocat — to help other pet parents avoid the confusion and worry I went through, and to make sure their furry friends get the love and care they deserve from day one.
